So, I have never really been that crafty, but I have set out to do most of the wedding myself. My inspiration came from my great friend, Krista, when we made the flower girl basket for her wedding. I have some not so good things, but thought I'd post the things I'm pretty proud of. Even Samuel has gotten in on the action, and I think he's actually enjoying himself!
Photos from the top down:
*I got the basket for 50 cents and painted it chocolate brown for Edy's flower girl basket and will tie ribbons on it closer to time.
*Our card box courtesy of Hobby Lobby
*Favor boxes all hand tied by myself and filled with my hometown original, Heath Bars
*Ring bearer pillow I got for $5 and personalized with the ribbon
*The next few pics are of my own creation that I finally had to make so everyone else could see my vision. I really wanted a chandelier to hang from the rafters in the barn, but that wasn't really in the budget. So, I came up with this instead. I just finished it tonight and hung it in the living room to try and decide if I like it. I'll be bringing some pics into work to see what the girls have to say as a second opinion!
*Next, are the signs that will be posted to direct everyone to the wedding. Grandpa Hayden, Samuel and I made then out of salvaged wood outside of Grandpa's shop.
*Last, is the cake stand that we also made at the shop. Grandpa has anything you could ask for at the shop, so we went "shopping" and he just happened to have this nice, finished piece of wood and three little doorknobs that we are using as the feet for the stand.
I'll be working on another project this weekend when I meet mom and dad at CJ and Alissa's house, so there will be more pics to come.

I'll be the first to post! I think you might be related to Martha Stewart after all! Things are looking good and coming together!! Keep up the crafty work:)
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of you! Not just for finally doing the blog but for all the crafty things you've done! You know you won't be able to keep the "Daugherty Details" title for much longer right?!
